The particular focus is parenteral formulation, particularly intra venous for compounds requiring systemic exposure that cannot be given orally.
Solid dose
The ability to spray dry nano-particulates, wet granulation, freeze drying and subsequently incorporate them into tablet forms is being studied. Our work has already demonstrated some unexpected findings which could lead to novel developments in this area.
Taste masking
Through both spray drying and other processes, nano-particulates can be embedded in fast dissolving matrices with taste masking properties. Taste masking can be used to improve patient compliance, particularly with paediatric formulations.
